Pinstar Parish

Time is a unique thing here in Pinstar Parish. Because Legacy families live out their lives here, nothing is really in order. So I suppose, with this in mind, it's really no surprise how I came to have a second chance at life with a wonderful husband, a loving stepdaughter, and a beautiful little girl of my own.

I don't remember much about my earlier life; perhaps that is by subconscious choice. What I do remember was being an elder and being a Nanny; a job I loved. There was one family I loved more than the rest though - the Day family had a special place in my heart. Dustin was a young man who so loved children and the idea of family that he adopted a young girl just after reaching adulthood, and while still living at home. He moved out on his own and was a doting father; everything he did was for little Jennifer. She was the happiest, and most loved, little child I'd ever taken care of.

The love in that house - Dustin's amazing capacity for love and family - brought me such joy. We had a lot in common and became close friends, Dustin and I. We stayed up many nights, talking over tea after Jennifer had gone to bed and my shift was long over. Soon, we were in love. I couldn't stand the thought of Dustin falling for such an old woman who was barren! This man wanted family; this man had so much love to give to a large family - he deserved a young wife who could give him many of his own children. He deserved a son to carry on his name. None of these things could I give him, though Dustin assured me my age did not bother him.

But I couldn't have it and one day I snuck out and met with the town Matchmaker, who was rumored to have many more tricks up her sleeve than creating romances. It cost all of my life savings, but she gave me a vial filled with yellowish liquid to drink and - the next thing I knew - I was an adult once more!

Dustin couldn't believe what I'd done, but loved me nonetheless. We were married, and now I am mother to my beloved Jennifer and to our own, precious daughter, Angie. Dustin is a police officer here in Scion City, and I became the official Record Keeper to help ends meet. I love this job. Not remembering anything of my family, I love to help others' find information about theirs - and keeping up with the goings-on and history of this unique parish is so fulfilling.

History

Pinstar Parish is named for Brian Pinstar, who originally settled the area with an ingenious idea. To get new sims to re-locate and populate his inherited lands, the bright sim started a challenge for all who wished to take it - if they could raise a strong, solid family that spanned a few generations, they and their descendants could continue to live on the land for free.

The parish is now a small, yet prosperous area that includes a city, a town, two 'burbs and two universities.
