Here is a quick explanation of the categories on this blog.

A Graver's Thoughts
My random thoughts and postings on the hobby of graving and the joy of cemeteries.

After Death
Posts about "after death" topics such as burial, after-death body care, funerary procedures, burial customs, etc.

Cemetery
These posts are about a particular cemetery that I have visited or am I writing about.

Sepulcher
These posts are about a particular grave or set of graves that I have visited or am I writing about.

Graving Trip
These posts detail particular graving excursions I have gone on.

The Dead
These posts are about a particular deceased person (or persons) - usually those whose graves have intrigued me enough that I researched the names until I found out all I could about them.

Personal Graves
These are posts concerning graves I have a personal interest in, such as those of family members, friends, or ancestors.

Find A Grave
Posts dealing directly with the website, Find A Grave, started by Jim Tipton and which my hobby of graving is focused around.

Desecration
Posts about vandalism to graves and/or cemeteries and violation of remains.

Molder
Posts concerning the inherent decay over time due to weather or other natural elements of tombstones, cemeteries, etc.  This also takes into account any damage done by natural elements such as storms, floods, etc.

Unique Final Resting Places
Odd or interesting places that hold - or use - remains.

Taphophile Book Review
Reviews of books related to cemeteries, graving, the dead, etc. Taphophilia is, according to dictionary.com: "a love of funerals, graves, cemeteries" and comes from the Greek word "taphos", which means "grave".

Events & Reviews
Reviews and events that I have attended or read about concerning cemeteries or their preservation.

Calaveras
Interesting, unique, or otherwise remarkable epitaphs found on graves or memorial markers.

Corpus Delicti
The graves of murder victims, either as a final resting place or where the remains were found and are memorialized.
