I've recently gotten back into playing The Sims 3, and though I never quite took off with it as I did with The Sims 2 I truly do enjoy playing.

The lack of dedication to 3, as opposed to 2, was - for me - a matter of less time to play, yes, but, also, frustration that every time I'd get going with a family, the game would crash and I'd lose everyone and everything.  (This wasn't all EA's fault - I also experienced a hard drive crash that obliterated my hard drive, including the sim families from The Fringe Press project).

This was especially the case in Bridgeport.  Due to the Bridgeport glitch (I've lost two families - just *poof* gone - and hours of work and play) with the Late Night ep, I've just gone back to square one and Sunset Valley (or a slight remake thereof).

I introduce you to the city of Astoria, and the Rainger family, which began with founder CAS sim, Ethan Rainger.  Ethan's traits are as follows:

Ethan is a Taurus who loves French music, Fish and Chips, and the color Green.  He has a career in the Science field.

Ethan married his maid, Kate Pistachio, on the pier at the beach and the two have had a romantic relationship ever since.

The newlywed couple moved from Ethan's small home  at 72 Water Lily Lane a custom-built home at 74 Landgraab Avenue to begin a family.

Kate was a bit older than Ethan and the two only managed to have one child together, a daughter named Bethany, before Kate became an Elder.

Just before Kate's last birthday, the couple decided to adopt and brought toddler Elisabetta into their home.  Bethany, a child at the time, was delighted to have a little sister and the two became especially close.  They are currently in high school, with Bethany soon to enter Young Adulthood.

Kate is a Leo and loves Pop music, Ratatouille, and the color Red.  Though she began her career as a Maid, Kate is now employed in the Business profession and is a B-list Celebrity around town.

Bethany is a Cancer who loves Egyptian music, Sushi, and the color Red.

Elisabetta Rainger

• Neurotic

• Clumsy
• Excitable

Elisabetta is a Scorpio who loves Hip Hop music, Fruit Parfait, and the color Irish Green.
