Looks like I've been tagged more than once, by Codie and Phoenix, so here's how this works.

Here are the rules:
(1) Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
(2) People who are tagged need to write a post on their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
(3) At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

RANDOM FACT THE FIRST: I was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and lived there until I was about 10 years old. When you are a child, living somewhere that has lots of snow and cold winters is like living in a wonderland. When you're older and have to do things like shovel the roof, ice the driveway, and plug your car in at night, I imagine it's not quite as fun.

RANDOM FACT THE SECOND: When I was a teenager, I ran a BBS out of the spare bedroom in my mom's house, using the second phone line in the house. For a year. Without her knowing.

RANDOM FACT THE THIRD: IRL, I run my own transcription business. I do transcription for corporate/legal/insurance, as well as interviews for dissertations, recorded statements, things like that. So, if you ever know of anyone who needs some transcription work done, holler at yer girl.

RANDOM FACT THE FOURTH: I'm a foodie. I live in the land of the batter-fried hunks of meet covered in gravy with a side of potatoes, but I actually love sushi, any and all international/ethnic foods, and I'm an adventurous eater. I'm always wanting to try new things, and I long to be Anthony Bourdain or Andrew Zimmern, touring the world to eat strange indigenous foodstuffs.

RANDOM FACT THE FIFTH: Black tea gives me headaches from the tannin, but I can drink red wine.

RANDOM FACT THE SIXTH: My best friend in the world, Isadora, met me on my RL blog years ago. She commented or e-mailed me to tell me how much she enjoyed reading my blog. We hit it off immediately and struck up a fast and very close friendship, and we IM with one another daily. We met one another in person for the first time last year at the Texas Renaissance Festival just outside of Houston, TX.

RANDOM FACT THE SEVENTH: I'm a gearhead. My baby is our 2004 Mustang Mach1 (Oxford white, rare color) and I worked for a number of years in the NHRA doing motorsports marketing for my family's professional top fuel race team.

RANDOM FACT THE EIGHTH: I type 140wpm corrected.
