I also offer this tidbit on Noirran's behalf:

"Still have lots of land/houses for rent if you are looking for your new home. The 4096 meter lots can be cleared if you would rather put your own house down. Currently there are gothic mansions and a japanese house with an open floor plan. 1200L per week. You can check them out HERE (slurl), or if you are looking for something with less or more prims, check out the land vendors at my Main Store (slurl).

Lounge of Dreams, home of the premiere all-male revue in SL, is hiring HOSTS.

Hosts should be dynamic, outgoing avies of any gender, shape, size, or orientation. You should be able to speak fluent English, and TYPE IN FLUENT ENGLISH. This is non-negotiable! No AOL-speak. LoD hosts must be able to communicate in correct English, and must do so.

Lounge of Dreams is a very diverse club that is open to all avatars. Hosts interact nightly with human, nonhuman, male, female, gay, straight, neko, furry, scaly, cyborg, gargoyle, vampire, fantastical avatars of all shapes and sizes, and people from many countries and cultures. The closedminded need not apply, as all guests at LoD must be treated with respect and courtesy, and be made to feel welcome. LoD has male dancers only, and the dancers are often nude. Please consider that before you apply.

LoD is open from 6-10pm nightly. Hosts make 100% of tips. The most critical hours for hosting are 7pm-9pm, as this is the time of the night when the club runs its contest. Hosts should be able to work 6-8, 8-10, 6-10, or 7-9.

LOUNGE OF DREAMS HOST DUTIES:

Greet each guest individually.
Encourage guests to have fun.
Participate in group chat.
Keep the atmosphere lively and entertaining.
Encourage guests to tip dancers and DJ.
Encourage guests to play games like the sploder.
Encourage guests to join VIP group, and sign them up for same.
Be entrusted with nightly contest money, paid by a manager (L$500) and pay that money into the contest boards.
Start contest, monitor contest, end contest, and reset contest boards.
Communicate with guests and pass along guests comments, concerns, or praise to club management or staff.
Send notices about club events.
HAVE FUN!

Hosts receive 100% of tips. Our hostesses, on busy nights, have logged out of tipjars with over L$2000. Our clientele and regulars are generous, and if you make them feel welcome they will compensate you accordingly. Some nights are slow, some nights are great. That's the key to working for tips.

If you are interested or know someone who would be interested, please have them IM Blackberry Latte in-world. I also invite you to visit the club at Trapper (213, 37, 318) to pick up an application in our lobby.

Today, I made the donation(s) to Stand Up To Cancer. I originally mis-figured out amount ... I thought we had raised $210, but we really raised closer to USD $217.

We raised L$56,375. After checking many sources for exchange rates, doing the math wrong, doing it over again, figuring it again, I made two donations. One in the amount of $210.00 US, and one in the amount of $7.00 US, to Stand Up To Cancer from all of you.

Then I made my own donation also.

Thank you so very much for all of your generosity.

We raised essentially L$ 57,000 for Stand Up To Cancer.

I just checked on SLX, and at the exchange rate I saw tonight, that's $205.00 USD.

That's absolutely huge and I want to say thank you to anybody who contributed whether it was one linden or 10,000.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I'm going to add this to the donation I will be making in my mom's memory -- and your contribution almost doubled my donation.

Thanks for making it meaningful and worthwhile.

1) I'm plurking now, damn all of you plurk pushers.

2) I wanted to take a minute and thank everybody for their generosity as concerns my fundraising efforts for Stand Up To Cancer.

Thanks to the generosity of bloggers, plurkers, friends, club guests at Lounge of Dreams and Freakheim, we (that's all of us) have managed to raise about L$38,000 so far. We're zooming right up on USD $150.00 that will be added onto the donation I am making in my mom's memory later this week.

I'm collecting donations and/or donation-tips through the end of the 80s night shift tomorrow at LoD, at 8pm SLT.

If you would like to donate but can't make it to a show, I would be happy to accept your lindens and apply them to the total (if you do that and I'm not online to receive them, please plurk, comment here, email or notecard me to let me know how much it was so I can keep the funds separate) or you can always donate in USD at http://www.standuptocancer.org.

Together we really can make a difference. I'm really grateful to all of you for indulging me in this effort.

With love,
Rosie
