Oh my goodness, the things that happen when you're gone for like 10 days and you have to get in the swing of things. Why does it always take longer than your time on vacation to get back to the action?

Here's what I've been up to:

1) trying to get my land sold --> I just lowered the price on my plot on PT, anybody looking for a 1024 m2 with 300 prims?

2) Busting hump at the club --> Lounge of Dreams is a smokin' hot hangout lately, and we'd all love it (especially me) if you guys wanted to stop by and say hi -- my next official DJ shift is Friday 6pm-8pm SLT for 80s night, which has turned into "Rosie and Madisen get tipsy while DJ'ing 80s Night", and is always fun.

3) Shopping for clothes

4) Lovin' up on all mah frenz

5) Building an underwater cave (The structure is done, anybody have good ideas for where to get sea plants and things that aren't humongous to decorate the inside of what is about a 10 x 10 cave?)

6) Starting a new steady DJ gig -- Rosie Rocks at Freakheim Funeral Home, every Thursday from 4-6pm -- if it's rock I'll play it, which is a change from my normal super-upbeat bebop pop music DJ set self. The first set was a success, and I hope you'll honor me and the owners/staff of the Freakheim Funeral Home (SLURL) by stopping by to kick some ass on Thursdays.

7) Celebrating Isadora finishing up her half of Rosadora, which means we better get started planning a party!

8) Cheering on Izzy as she works on the Lounge of Dreams Website at http://slloungeofdreams.com.

9) Spending some much-appreciated time with Daman, as he's now traveling and won't be back until August 4. I'm proud to say that he's blogging again on his own blog, plus make sure to check out his newest review over on Men's Second Style and welcome him back to the blogosphere. :)

10) Seeing, and participating in, the wedding of one of my bestest SL friends, Guen, to her partner Ozark.

11) Keeping lists of things to blog about so I didn't forget. :P

What have all of you been up to? Talk to meeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Shimmy, from Subtle Submission

How much do I love Noirran Marx and all the clothing and accessories in her Subtle Submission shop?

How much?

A ton. A TON.

Shimmy is a slim silhouette lovely formal gown with a sequined prim skirt made up of three panels. In these photos, I did not have to adjust the skirt AT ALL.

Not one bit.

I didn't touch it.

One prim set goes on each leg, plus one in the middle to "fill in the gap." The result is a lovely, nearly vertical, smooth skirt that goes with the flow when you walk or dance, but looks hot as heck when you're standing still. If it looks this good on me, imagine how it's going to look on you.

An absolutely lovely dress for a night on the town or that formal occasion, and a super mega bargain at L$200. That's right, I said L$200.

Shimmy is available in one color, as you see it here.

Walk, do not run, to Subtle Submission at HERE and get one of your own plus like, one of each of everything.

Shimmy, from Subtle Submission

PS: Now I need to find an appropriate occasion for which to wear this lovely dress. Shall we go out on the town? :P

I'm blessed to have a SL filled with some very wise friends. Amazing, open, warmhearted, insightful, intelligent, openminded, loving, incredible friends.

One of them said something to me last night that has resounded so deeply within me that I feel the overwhelming need to share it with all of you.

This tidbit of wisdom has inspired me in ways you can't imagine. Although some of you will be on the receiving end of some of my inspiration now. :P

Here's the tidbit. Ready?

As regards our virtual lives (and I suspect, the real ones too):

"This is your game. And your dream. Live the dream."

So there you go.

Today I challenge all of you to step outside the box a little. And live your dream.

If we can't do it here, where can we?

I'm also too tired to write about the trip. It went as well as can be expected based on the reason for the travel, and now I'm just happy to be home.

Hope to see you all inworld soon. ;)

I'm taking a trip back to my home state to try to wrap up the affairs with my mother's estate. We are going to be there about a week, then me and RL Mr. B. will be driving back to the midwest. Should hopefully see you guys by the 17th.

Enjoy the summer weather while I'm gone! See you all soon!

"I claim this land in honor of myself, Isadora Graves, and my partner-friend, Rosie Barthelmess on this 30th day of the month of June in the year two-thousand and eight, and it shall be called Rosadora.

And it was so." - Isadora Graves

"Holy shit, Izzy, we have a freakin' island!" -Rosie Barthelmess
