Whew!

One new house, + old inventory, + new inventory, + Straylight, + Heart Garden Centre, + more Straylight, + Kitchen Korner, + Christo's, + CS Furniture, + more and more shopping and inventory digging, = DONE.

DONE DONE DONE DONE DONE!

I think.

Who am I kidding? I'm going to be shuffling things around for a little while, anyway. I made some splurges on some things, I have to find a low-ish prim coffeemaker because the one I have currently is no mod and it's HUGE, and I have to decide if I am going to leave my hanging fruit basket.

You know, because it's 25 prims.

Otherwise, my wildflowers, boulders, etc. etc. etc., are totally amazing and I'm quite excited.

And the house? Yes, yes, it's lovely and homey and I think I finally feel like it's mine.

I can't wait for all y'all to see it. And to that end, I am directing you to my flickr page where you can see all the pics.

Here's a sample, though.

That's a picture of the front walkway. Wait til you see the rest of the house!

Naw, I'm not leaving Pacific Terrace, but I DID get a HOUSE!

I can't even say I "found" a house, because I didn't. Noirran, because she is the most amazing person EVER, read my blog about wanting a simple, adobe-style home, and she ... BUILT ... me one.

Unsolicited.

I returned from holiday to find she'd sent me a house. She met me on PT where I rezzed it and we made some changes to it, and now I' moving in!

This is what the lot looked like just before I deleted my old house. I about fell over when I realized I'd have about 450 prims to work with. ahaha!

Camthan has been helping me with some terraforming, since I had really wrecked my front yard putting in the damn little swimming pool. Then Cammy shot me a floor texture for some red Mexican-looking tile, and I was well on my way.

By the time I logged off last night, I had installed my collection of ceramic suns from the Mexico sim, as well as some of my Mayan baskets and baubles. The living room furniture is in, although I reserve the right to change it all around because I'm like that. I need to flesh out my bedroom a little bit -- it's still even bigger than I need, and it's smaller than what I had!

I'm so excited. I can't wait to take you all on a little mini tour of my house when I get it all finished up.

THANK YOU, NOIRRAN!

Oh, and with the prims I'm saving on decorating? I'm going to make some beautiful gardens on my plot. Because I can. BECAUSE I CAN, YAY!

Now I just have to find some kind of organic texture that's similar to river rocks or small pebbles to make a path...

Thanks for wading through my tirade the other day, guys. Urgh! You know, some days I just have to get those things off my chest. Fortunately for me, you're quite indulgent.

So things are taking off at Dreams. I've had some other things that I've been trying to get taken care of in the meantime, and I've made a little bit of progress.

Y'all might know that I am in love -- mad, passionate love -- with my house on Pacific Terrace. And I am. But, I am also in pad, passionate love with prims.

I have been kicking around some new ideas, and everything keeps coming up short. Of course! Story of my life, innit? *giggle*

I have a house right now, which is a modified version of the Olivi house from BLIP. I picked it up at Ace's Places when I first got my land on PT, and I adore it. I do. But, it's huge.

And, it's getting to the point that every time I go into my warm cozy comfortably-appointed house, I am reminded that it is way too much house for one person.

And because I do not see the "one person" thing changing any time soon (sigh, I know, I know) I was banging around the idea of getting a smaller house. I've been on the hunt for something with a baja/caribbean kind of feel -- rustic, like adobe or palapa without being "tiki" or "bamboo hut." I've seen some GORGEOUS rustic adobe or villa style homes, but they're all more prims and larger than the one I have which defeats the purpose.

I've got a few things to talk about, so I'm just going to dump them all here. How's that? Okay with you? Allrighty, then.

First, I have to say that I've added a couple of links to my blogroll. Psyche Fride (Bass Ackwards in SL) andNimil are now on the blogroll and I'd suggest you check them out! Psyche, if you see this -- you have your blog set to no "anonymous" comments, and I do not have a blogger ID for Rosie. So, I tried to leave you a comment but it didn't want to take it. I'm sorry I missed you at Club 9.13 when you were by for Uniform Night, and I hope you'll come back or IM me some time so we can get together!

And! Speaking of Club 9.13...

Guess who made it into the Top Five Dancers for the week? That's revenue, folks. Top 5 Dancers are picked based on how many tips they get. I'd like to thank anybody who tipped me of course, and would ask all of you to please take the time to stop by Club 9.13 whether or not you're interested in slipping some lindens into my uh, tip-jar. The club deserves the support of as many of you wonderful folks as we can get out there. So if you happen to wander in at a time I'm not there, you'll see my picture (at least this week) hanging on the wall around the dance floor. I'm so excited!

And then? THEN? On to the final word in landscaping ... the tiki garden!

Whoo! The joys of home ownership!

So here's how it happened. First, Isadora bought a plot on Pacific Terrace. (There are some LOVELY plots, with bonus prims (150 per 512 m2) for sale on Pacific Terrace right now, by the way. Stop by and check it out if you're looking for somewhere to hang your hat.)

Then, I bought the plot next door. There we were, best friends, RL and SL, SL neighbors, business partners and co-workers.
