I know, I know, did I fall off the face of the earth! No! But I've been pretty busy in RL and ultra-busy in SL lately, which means my blogging here has fallen by the wayside. For that, I apologize.

To try to sort of burst back onto the scene, I'm going to actually (*gasp!*) do a fashion blog. I KNOW, RIGHT?

So, some of you may know the name Lissa Maertens. I have had the pleasure of knowing her for a while, as she is a friend of Eirik's. And for a very long time, I have been totally fangirl in love with her clothes. From when she was working at Simone, to now that she's in her own shop called Cattiva e Cattivo, it's a favorite spot for Eirik and I to pop in from time to time to see how her talents are progressing.

For my birthday, Eirik gave me a gift card to Cattiva e Cattivo, and I was thrilled to be able to add some super cute and very affordable things to the pieces of hers I'd already had. I'm constantly complimented when I'm wearing her stuff, so it's about darn time I show it off to everybody here.

Cattiva e Cattivo has clothes for both men and women, including shoes, ranging from casual to formal. I've broken out some items here to demonstrate her complete versatility, so bear with me while I ooh and ahh! All the photos are available on my Flickr Photostream in sizes up to REALLY REALLY HUGE, so feel free to click on over there and check them out in more detail since I can't really post big ones here.

This is her very adorable, very versatile, Loli outfit (named "Loli"), and for L$250 you get a crazy amount of options. This outfit comes with a red lace-up corsette on multiple layers, a black jacket layer with long sleeves (that shows a peek of the red lace from underneath it), corset-lace glitch shorts, TWO flexi skirt versions (red/black, and black) in a lovely lace, stockings, stocking embellishments including bows and rolled stocking tops, forearm lace sleeve poufs, shoulder lace, and an adorable rear-veiled top hat. I've worn this outfit in a variety of ways and mixed and matched pieces with other things. It's really great and richly textured, and for the price you can't beat it.

We'll call this look "badass casual." In RL, I LIVE in outfits like this. I am absolutely in love, LOVE LOVE LOVE with Lissa's hoodies. The prim hoods fit great and her texturing is just beyond good. In this photo, I am wearing her Porn Star Hoodie (but other graphics are available in the hoodie collection) which comes with prim hood complete with flexi laces that hang in the front, AND prim-bunched-sleeves. I've paired it with one of her great pants options, the "Bitchez Britchez" in midnight. Bitchez Britchez are richly textured jeans (with a really great butt on them, I must say) that are the non-prim-leg option. She also offers prim-leg jeans with the same high quality texturing and a rumpled, soft scrunched prim flare leg.

Moving up from badass casual into smart casual, this is an outfit that I assembled from Cattiva e Cattivo separates that I got so many compliments on, I didn't take it off for two days.

I would love to say that this great look was due to my amazing fashion sense or me having a serendipitous moment, but the truth is the color ranges at Cattiva e Cattivo are all made to go together. Wonderful neutrals and great, rich colors make the entire store a potluck of different mix-and-match fashions and you really can't go wrong.

Here, I've chosen to wear the Pleated Dress Slacks in Slate with prim legs (notice the double-buttons on the front, how sharp is that?) with the Sheer Delight set in Navy. The Sheer Delight set in itself is an amazing bargain (I think it was L$100) because it includes the sheer top on the shirt and jacket layers with tucked and untucked versions, plus the sheer top in a "dress shirt" version on all layers tucked/untucked that comes with the front of the shirt actually open rather than buttoned for those sultry days -- PLUS the bustier. I slipped on the new Stephanie sculpted high heels in Navy for this look (more about the heels shortly) and one of the new Sable Rose necklaces I've been working on but is not yet released.

A sexy, smart, sassy look like this one is incredibly versatile -- and the fact that the slacks come in a ton of really great neutrals and the top comes in its own fabulous range of deep colors makes it them both must-haves.

From smart/dressy casual to formal, Cattiva e Cattivo really does have it all:

This amazingly gorgeous dress is the Frosted dress in Antique Red. The movement and workmanship on this skirt is really quite amazing, and it drapes and flows in a way that makes me want to go dancing. As a matter of fact, not long after picking it up, Eirik and I took it for a spin with some friends and it really is gorgeous. I think I especially like the sheer, glitter-trimmed asymmetrical peekaboo decollatage with the lovely sheer sleeves. The Frosted dress is available in a TON of color choices and also comes with optional fur stole and sleeve poufs for the holidays or those chilly fall or winter evenings. The skirt is click-to-resize, which makes it all super easy. Oh! And this dress comes in a babydoll version also when you purchase the gown!

And now, shoes. Who doesn't need shoes?

The Stephanie high heel shoes come in, as I told Lissa, "all shades of awesomeness." I lost count of the number of colors she's made available to us. All the texturing on these shoes is 100% hand done by Lissa herself, which is important to point out. The colors range from antique ivory to deep ebony and everywhere in between, some with streaks of complimentary shades of colour on the sides. The red/alternately coloured soles that curl up toward the toe really make this shoe, and make it a stand-out choice. There's no excuse for you not to have at least one pair of these Stephanie pumps, because there are colors that match not only every personality but also all the colors available in the Cattiva e Cattivo line of clothes.

Do yourself a favor and stop in to Cattiva e Cattivo -- really brilliant texturing, amazing quality for a very reasonable price, and she's always cranking out new things. Tell her Rosie sent you. <3

Sometimes, the best medicine for what ails you is throwing your arms around someone's neck and hanging from them playfully as they hug you tight.

---------------------

I reckon having so many places to sit quietly and talk with someone that it becomes a "chore" to remember them all and pick one, is a pretty nice problem to have.

----------------------

Sometimes it's not what you're doing, but who you're doing it with.

----------------------

Happy Monday, everybody!

So this weekend was filled with crazy fun randomness, and I can only hope yours was. I got to go shoe shopping with girlfriends, become a quadruplet, bought some L$50 Magika hair and a L$50 ball gown which a kind gentleman or two last night referred to as "smoking hot" (Topaz Square, TOPAZ SQUARE!), DJ'd for charity (we've raised L$10k for Stand Up To Cancer so far, thank you), got sold on an auction block, became a copycat and bought some boots I wanted, got caught breaking into Camthan's house for some craziness (okay, so that was on Thursday), and enjoyed the company of some amazing folks along the way.

And then yesterday I got to hang off of shoulders.

Is it Friday again yet? Or do you think maybe we can add some random insanity to the weekdays?

How much?

A ton. A TON.

Shimmy is a slim silhouette lovely formal gown with a sequined prim skirt made up of three panels. In these photos, I did not have to adjust the skirt AT ALL.

Not one bit.

I didn't touch it.

One prim set goes on each leg, plus one in the middle to "fill in the gap." The result is a lovely, nearly vertical, smooth skirt that goes with the flow when you walk or dance, but looks hot as heck when you're standing still. If it looks this good on me, imagine how it's going to look on you.

An absolutely lovely dress for a night on the town or that formal occasion, and a super mega bargain at L$200. That's right, I said L$200.

Shimmy is available in one color, as you see it here.

Walk, do not run, to Subtle Submission at HERE and get one of your own plus like, one of each of everything.

PS: Now I need to find an appropriate occasion for which to wear this lovely dress. Shall we go out on the town? :P

You know, with all the other things going on this week I forgot to blog about some superfun.

I'm trying to remember what day this was, but I reckon it was Tuesday or Wednesday.

CronoCloud Creeggan, a fellow blogger and someone whom I finally sycophantedly friended at the last SL Bloggers party, was kind enough to start IM'ing me recently. I always enjoy my talks with her, and this day was no exception.

We were talking about diversity in SL, and there's been a little side ruckus over a sign at a store in SL. Whether you think it's a joke or not, no matter how you take it, it at the very least deserved a little fun being poked back at it.

I was a bad, bad Rosie today.

Very, very bad. Super bad. Supabad!

I've been meaning for a while to update my nekoness. I love my kitsune parts, and wanted to make some changes but still stay on the puppy side of things.

I went shopping out and around and bought some things I didn't really like although the idea of them was fun (bushy neko tail called "bondage kitty" with handcuffs, a rope, and a small flogger, but I didn't like the way the script in it made it move), some things I haven't worn yet (longhaired feline ears/tail, panda bear ears/tail), and the lovely auburn Lycan set pictured above from Atomic Kitty, in Auburn.

Then I had to get some hair to go with my new ears (*cough* *cough*) so I went by Fetish Boutique and ended up coming home with Jeni's Curls in the red pack. It's curly and just a little flexi, and covers my human ears (as I've recently had it pointed out to me that if you're having neko ears, your human ears may as well be covered up) so I thought it'd be cute.

Then, I ran into Noirran and we wandered around the Starlust Motel sim, which is directly adjacent to Dogtown sim, home of Urban Bomb Unit who makes the Pornstar chucks. That was a fun trip also, and I got some freebie pants. After I left her, I stumbled into Pudge and picked up those supercute glasses, and we both had happened on Periquita, where I picked up those adorable sculptie shoes for L$50. FIFTY LINDENS.

And then I went home and ogled myself and took pictures.

PS: the "Dirty" set at Subtle Submission by Noirran is ultra-hot. I am not wearing the seethrough mesh ripped top in that picture because of the nippleage, but I do have a picture of it on my flickr. I was trying to find something with no nips showing to wear to the club tonight. :P

Ciera Bergman was having a little contest today to members of the Vitamin Ci group! Find her on the Hefferoo sim and get an item of your choice worth L$200 or less. I found her! I had been meaning to stop in and pick up the Ashley shorts set anyway -- so I was thrilled for the chance to win it.

Ashley is a very pretty tank top with embroidered dark denim shorts in an attractive length. I love the detailing on the top. It comes in a number of colors including black, silver, red, a peachy color, and pink. The set also comes with a matching bikini swimsuit.

Thank you, Ciera!!
