Thanks to everybody that made my 29th (*cough*) birthday a very very lovely day. I kept getting surprised with gifts and wellwishes every time I turned around, probably thanks to Marxi "letting the cat out of the bag."

Jeli snuck up on me and was SUPER MISS DEVIOUS and sent me RL flowers, too, which was a super-amazing treat. They're still here next to my desk making my whole office smell absolutely lovely.

It was an absolutely awesome day of shopping, making lists of where to go shopping, daydreaming of shopping, and um, SHOPPING! Thank you to everybody who so kindly thought of me. You guys know "you didn't have to do that," but you did and I can't thank you enough. Whether there were gifts involved or not, you all are the best set of friends anyone could ever ask for in any life.

The house got covered with balloons and gifts and signs and streamers by the Four Corners crew, and I also got to spend a little time with Eirik which was a joy as always.

Then, later that night when I relogged after some RL celebrating with friends, I was shuffled off to the club where everyone took turns spanking me. I think a few of you liked spanking me a little too much. Or is it me that liked getting spanked a little bit too much?

After my birthday died down, I spent yesterday working most of the day in RL and made an appearance in SL late last night to try to finish up Eirik's valentine present. I'm quite happy with it and will post some pictures after I give it to him this weekend. :D Shhhhh!

Today, we spent some time exploring Chakryn Forest, as neither of us had ever been there. We had quite a lovely time and I'm sure we'll end up going back because I doubt we even scratched the surface of this amazing openspace build. It was truly mystical and beautiful, peaceful and inviting, whimsical and quite obviously a labor of love.

You know, with all the other things going on this week I forgot to blog about some superfun.

I'm trying to remember what day this was, but I reckon it was Tuesday or Wednesday.

CronoCloud Creeggan, a fellow blogger and someone whom I finally sycophantedly friended at the last SL Bloggers party, was kind enough to start IM'ing me recently. I always enjoy my talks with her, and this day was no exception.

We were talking about diversity in SL, and there's been a little side ruckus over a sign at a store in SL. Whether you think it's a joke or not, no matter how you take it, it at the very least deserved a little fun being poked back at it.

Last night, I was very pleasantly surprised, and today I am proud and excited, to announce that I've been asked to join an elite team of crack journalists! *giggles*

I'm the newest blogger to be added to the team over at Mean Girls of SL. I put up my first post already too, although it's not exactly something I'd call cutting-edge. :P

So, I hope to be spewing the contents of my ever-rambling brain all over that lovely blog as well. Won't you stop by and say hi?

While we're busy talking about why this ended up being a pretty good couple of weeks and things that make me proud...

It was brought to my attention last night that something good and yay has happened in SL that I haven't blogged about. This happened a little over a week ago, actually.

If you don't already know what it is, do you want to know? :P

If you do know, do you want me to blog it? :D

I suppose it was bound to happen, but I might get a tear in my eye.

A while back, months ago, Brandy had introduced me to the amazing skins that were at the time called Tete a Pied. I adored the way they worked with my shape and how they looked on my face, and over a short timespan I about bought them out of the makeups in my skin tone.

Yes, I know. Go big or go home, dammit!

Well, I hop on over to the Fleur blog (TaP is now Fleur, you know) and I find this post talking about a new release.

It also says it will be the last release in the Vivant skin line, which is the one I'm in love with. Don't get me wrong, Fleur is doing some gorgeous things with hand-drawn boutique skins.

But the Vivant line, I lurves it so.

I'm going to have to get L$1200 together to go get the three-pack of the new release in Buff, because by now it's a matter of principle. I encourage everyone to go check them out if you haven't seen them yet -- the new release and the old -- and also check out their boutique skins. I doubt you'll be sorry.

Apparently the recipe for the best day evar is:

1) Clothes shoppin'. (I didn't buy any!)

2) A little wandering around.

3) Hair shoppin'. (I didn't buy any!)

4) Furniture shoppin'.

5) Furniture buyin'. (I didn't, technically, buy any)

6) Furniture placement and utilization.

7) Inventory adjustin'.

Might sound boring, but I assure you it's all in the company you keep. :)
