Long time no post; sorry about that.  Sometimes real life can be real bitch, ya know?

In any event, I am dipping my toe in the waters of SL - much changed since my last login - and testing the temperature.  Am I ready to dive back in?  Or will I just swim for a bit and disappear like a fleeing fish, as I normally do?  My hope, of course, is the dive.  Yet, only time will tell.

In the meantime, I thought I would give the old fashion blog posting a go.  I always loved doing it so (who doesn't like playing dress up?) and the blog was just starting to really take off when I abandoned it.  Hopefully you all will come back and we can grow together.

For my first foray back into the metaverse, I teleported on over to the Shopatorium [SLurl: Gallinas], created and managed by my dearest friend inside and outside of this virtual world, Rosie Barthelmess.  She had recently expanded and I was also eager to pop into a few shops that are there and belong to some dear, old friends.  I had already done the outfit for this post, so next post I will only be wearing items purchased from the shops at the Shopatorium.

For now, let's get this post started...

This is one of my favorite skins and I have worn it here before.  It is by Milk Motion [SLurl: Cheesecake] and called "Marla".  There are four available, but this particular one is Pale Black Eyes/Red Lips.  The Marla set of skins sells for $L429 each.  There are four sets - Basic, Basic Red Lips, Black Eyes, and Black Eyes/Red Lips - that each contain four skins and sells for $L1800/set.  The four skins in each set are labeled as Normal, Blush, Freckles, and Freckles/Blush.

The messy pony-tailed, fedora-sporting hair comes from Maitreya [SLurl: Maitreya Isle]. It is called "Ymre" (in Ebony) and has a touchable, color/fabric-change script with six choices (Tweed or Felt 1-3).  The hair sales in packs that are $L295/pack and contain five hairs each; available are the Blacks Pack, Browns Pack, Nuts Pack, Reds Pack, Blonds Pack, and Peroxides Pack.  Fatpacks are available for $L850.

Poetic Colors [SLurl: Strata] are my eyes of choice.  Here I am wearing my usual "Deep Jungle" in Medium.  PC eyes cost $L200/pair (comes with Small, Medium, and Large eyes), with entire color sets of any type of eyes in the store for $L1,250 (8 eye sets) or $L2,500 (16 eye sets).

A pair of my absolute favorite eyelashes frame the eyes - The "2-Way Color Prim Lashes" from Katat0nik [SLurl: Axis Mundi].  $L75 will get you clickable, menu-driven eyelashes that are highly customizable with density and many color choices on both top and bottom lashes.  They come in a pair - to wear on the chin or nose.

The outfit (minus the top/tank) is a mash-up of pieces from various Sn@tch [SLurl: Snatch City] outfits and single pieces.  Underneath are underwear and stockings from barbee (which doesn't appear to exist anymore).  First are the "Finga Gloves" in Skullz; these are regularly $L200 but are on sale for $L75 which will get you a pack with 13 different styles.  The pants are part of the "Explicit Dress" outfit ($L450 for 5 dresses + accessories) with a skirt from the "Voodoo Lolli" skirt set, listed in-store as "Box Pleated Linen skirt with bondage rings & skull buckle - 6 Lacey capri leggings & nipple tape" and sells for $L200.  Finishing it up are the ultra-cute "Slag Bondage Platforms", $L225, that have a clickable color-change script that changes the ribbons to Red, Green, or Purple.

The tank  is from the "Electro-Cute" dress from Schadenfreude [SLurl: The Starlust Motel, Lloyd], this one is Black Skull; retails for $L300 a pop or get the fatpack for $L429.

Last but not least is the beautiful jewelry set - "Jazz Funeral" - by Balderdash Balderdash [SLurl: Oubliette].  The necklace costs $L150; a matching bracelet, $L150, and earrings, $L150, and all three pieces together retail for $L450.

I was attempting to throw something together in a hurry to make it over to The Patio for a set by my best friend, jewelry-creator and songstress-extraordinaire, Rosie Barthelmess - and lo, this outfit was born.  I actually surprised myself; for a quick romp through my (very cluttered as of late) inventory and being in a hurry, this outfit came out darn cute!  I could see myself wearing this to work and still looking snazzy for after-hour drinks.

The skin is Frick [SLurl: Sugar Mill Grove], one of my favorite skin retailers and with prices that are simply impossible to beat.  This particular one is "Cinder" (comes with Large Lips, worn, and Small Lips for two different looks) in the skin tone Tan; also available are tones Goth, Peach, and Chocolate.  Each set - with the two make-ups - costs only $L30 each.

This precious, curled bob is a new 'do from Curio [SLurl: Curio].  It's aptly titled "Betty Boop", and comes in the rainbow variety of colors you can get all Curio hairs in.  Color groups sell for $L200 apiece, each coming with 4-5 hairs, except for the darkest hues - of which I am wearing one shade, "Black" - which has only 3 hairs.

While my eyes are always green, I change up styles and hues; though never from anywhere other than Poetic Colors [SLurl: Strata].  This time I'm sporting "Deep Jungle" in Medium (probably one of my favorites).  PC eyes cost $L200/pair (comes with Small, Medium, and Large eyes), with entire color sets of any type of eyes in the store for $L1,250 (8 eye sets) or $L2,500 (16 eye sets).

The lashes are an old staple and favorite, from the "Club Collection" by Celestial Studios [SLurl: Celestial City].  More on those from the original post about them, in 2007, over at Starley's blog - see Prim Eyelashes.

No cleavage-showing outfit is complete without the "Breast & Cleavage Enhancer" from Ayumi [SLurl: Dreamer]; it's a steal selling for only $L200.  That price includes Undershirt, Shirt, and Jacket layers for skin tones Dark, Greyscale, Light, and Superlight.

This gauzy, gorgeous blouse, called "Valerie", comes from LeeZu! [SLurl: To The Nines] and sells for $L230 each; the fatpack costs $L1,265.  Available colors are White, Turquoise, Rust, Olive, OldPink, Lila, Green, Champagne (worn), Blue, Black, and Bark.  It is fancy enough to be dressy but also casual enough to be worn even with a pair of jeans.

The skirt is the bottom-half of the "Shift Dress", in Brown, which can be found in the Milla's Attic section of the main store at MichaMi [SLurl: Muse].  This sexy, little number also comes in Cream, LightBlue, Raspberry, Black, Gray, and, Green - all only $L75 each.

It was a chunk of serendipity that I found these adorable flats in my inventory - they couldn't have matched my outfit more perfectly if they'd been created just for it.  They are the "Francoise Flats" from Shiny Things [SLurl: Shiny Falls].  The flats cost $L250 a pair, each with 2 sizes included (size 0 and size 10).  Colors available are Gray, Pink Pearl, Tomato, Mango, Latte (worn), Lemon, Kiwi, Mint, Sky, Icy Blue, Grape, and Bubblegum.

Last but not least is this sumptuous, little pearl bracelet from Swallowtail [SLurl: The LOLO].  The top was so ornate already, I really wanted to keep it simple with the jewelry, but this piece screamed for a delicate yet still sort of stand-out bracelet.  The "Volume Bracelet" (worn here in Pearl) fit the bill perfectly.  You can pick one up for yourself at Swallowtail for only $L150; other available colors are Red, Green, and Black.

This look was built around an outfit I pieced together from clothes I bought at one of my new favorite stores, MichaMi [SLurl: Muse]. This could be work casual, a lunch and shopping date with the girls, or a night-out for cocktails outfit. The versatility makes this sexy and cute ensemble perfect for any fashionista worth her salt!

I do love my Dutch Touch [SLurl: Dutch Touch] skins. This one is a light, and sort of icy look that matches great with platinum, silver, or white outfits. It's part of the "Indie Summer" collection and is in make-up MU 5; the skin tone is Olive. DT skins are $L1,000 each or $L4,500 for a fatpack per skin tone. All of their skins are very high-quality and gorgeous, and I often have a difficult time choosing just one or two!

Here again I am wearing another hair from the small selection at The Abyss [SLurl: Shiny Falls]. I am just really in love with their hairs, and wish they would come out with some more. These lovely, high-quality hairs cost $L250/each or $L1,625 for the "All Colors" fatpack. Here I am wearing "Oxygen" in their shade of black called Full Moon.

Paired with that are the "Moulin Rouge" lashes from Redgrave [SLurl: Redgrave Womens Fashion].  Eyelashes at Redgrave are $L90 each, with 15 styles to choose from.  You can also purchase the Bundle, with all 15 eyelashes, for $L690.

I truly adore the "Noomi Jacket" I picked up at MichaMi [SLurl: Muse] when I first stumbled upon the store a few weeks ago.  Chic and fun, it complements dresses and skirts as well as pants or jeans.  I am wearing the Cream version of this cute jacket, yet it also comes in a variety of cool colors, including Mint, Sky, Black, Camel, Coffee and Coral; each selling for $L300 a pop.

The top is the "Ebba Tank" from MichaMi [SLurl: Muse].  Costing $L150 each, this stylish tank comes in Black (worn), Beige, White, Coral, Green, Pink, and Blue.

The skirt is the bottom-half of the "Shift Dress", also in Black, which can be found in the Milla's Attic section of the main store at MichaMi [SLurl: Muse].  This sexy, little number also comes in Cream, LightBlue, Raspberry, Brown, Gray, and, Green - all only $L75 each.

Strappy, sexy sandals were a perfect match for this outfit, and I chose a pair of "Supernovas" from Shiny Things [SLurl: Shiny Falls] to complete my look.  These casual yet posh sandals come in a rainbow of colors - Black, White (worn), Aqua, Sand Bloom, Pink Bloom, Chartreuse, Brown, Red, and Sunset - and cost $L350.  Each pair comes with 2 sizes (0 and 10).

While the shoes complete the outfit, it is always the accessories that bring the whole look together.  For this outfit, I chose a chunky yet elegant pair of earrings from Muse Fine Jewelry [SLurl: Muse].  The "Blanche Earrings", part of the "Blanche" jewelry set in Platinum, sell for $L300 a pair.  Also available is a matching bracelet, $L300, and necklace, $L400.  All three pieces are also available in Gold.  A fatpack that includes both color sets costs $L1,800.

Last but not least, is the "Jet" necklace; part of the "Jazz Funeral" set available at Balderdash [SLurl: Oubliette].  The necklace costs $L150; a matching bracelet, $L150, and earrings, $L150, make up the full "Jazz Funeral" set.  All three pieces together retail for $L450.

I really enjoyed my shopping spree at So Many Styles [SLurl: Indelible Odyssey] and the majority of this outfit cute, flirty outfit - perfect for any season except maybe winter - comes from there.  In fact, this outfit is almost a repeat of my last one as far as stores and creators go.  When you find something you like, it's always a good idea to stick with it.  And so I have...

This lovely skin comes, once more, from the offerings at PixelDolls [SLurl: Port Seraphine].  Their skins are amazing quality and, surprisingly, are only $L10 each!  This set of skins, different than the "SdR II" skins from my last post, are also $L10; included are two skins per make-up choice:  Plain and Freckled.  The skin tone I am wearing is Olive (C) and this particular make-up is called Luv.  Each skin also comes with a tintable bald cap for the eyebrows with a "hair color slider".

I'm sporting another hair from The Abyss [SLurl: Shiny Falls]; I really am in love with the few hairs they have for sale there.  This sleek and sexy bob is called "1984" and is in the shade of Full Moon, their version of black.  TA hairs sell for $L250/apiece.  Also available is the fatpack - called "All Colors" - that will run you $L1625, which is 50% off according to the vendor.

I rarely wear anything that reveals my cleavage these days without putting on my magical bust enhancer by creator Ayumi Cassini.  Originally, I was unable to find it for sale in-world, even after searching through Ayumi's neat gadget store, Magic Nook [SLurl: Clay].  However, the "Breast & Cleavage Enhancer" (formerly the "Cleavage Enhancement") set can be purchased online at Xstreet SL Marketplace.  It comes in a number of shade styles that unfailingly seem to match just about any skin tone you put it up against; the shades are Dark, Greyscale, Light, and SuperLight.  I am wearing the Light and have worn it with many other light-toned skins of a variety of shades and hues and it always matches perfectly.  You can wear the "Breast & Cleavage Enhancer" as Jacket, Shirt, or as an Undershirt.  Searching for information for this blog post, I learned that Ms. Cassini has her very own main store now where you can pick up her awesome Enhancer for $L200.  Check it out at Ayumi [SLurl: Dreamer].

The sexy, button-down top comes from a new favorite store, So Many Styles [SLurl: Indelible Odyssey].  I first found them at one of their shop locations elsewhere and teleported over to the main store - where I went pretty wild with the $L-spending, to be honest.  The result, however, was lots of new outfits to share here on the blog so I'm certainly not complaining.  If you haven't checked out SMS yet, you definitely should.  The clothes are unique, high-quality, and well-priced.  This blouse is aptly called "Cute Blouse" in Brown.  Other colors available are Black, Red, Purple, Green, and Blue and they sell for $L120/each.

The skirt - "Cloud Skirt" - also hails from So Many Styles [SLurl: Indelible Odyssey].  Available in colors Red, Blue, Black, Lila, and Khaki (worn) the skirt, which comes with a Long and Short version, costs $L200 apiece.

I fell in love with these sandals the first time I set eyes on them and bought one in every available shade (a rather pricey purchase, but well worth it).  Their very high-quality, versatile, and sexy cute.  They are the "Lalika Sandal" from EarthStones [SLurl: EarthBound]; I am wearing the "Nature Walk" colored pair.  The sandals cost $L499/pair, or you can purchase either of the available fatpacks - Blends or Solids - for $L1,749 each.

Lately, all of my jewelry has come from Shiny Things [SLurl: Shiny Falls] and this cute, bead necklace is no exception.  I am sporting the "Tuesday necklace" in Brown with its detailed hand-painted beads.  The necklace costs $L150 and also comes in Tan.

The crisp air here makes me want to start posting fall-inspired outfits: sweaters and jeans, coats and jackets galore. That's coming, so stay tuned. For now, I thought it was time to slip into something casual and just enjoy the simple things. This look was built around this sexy, cool tank top I picked up at a new store I found, So Many Styles [SLurl: Indelible Odyssey].

The skin is a subtle one from the "SdR II" collection at PixelDolls [SLurl: Port Seraphine] and created by Lillita Lacey. This one is Bare eye Nude lip (freckled) in D Tone. Amazingly, these skins are only $L10 apiece. Each comes with bald base, prim lashes, and 8 separate skins: Crimson Lip, Lined Lip, Nude Lip, and Plum Lip along with a Freckled version of each. The available skins are Nude, ChatNoir, Classic, Glitter, Kitten, Nile, Smoke, Tangerine, and Violet and skin tones are A Tone (palest) to G Tone (darkest).

The hair comes from another new store find, The Abyss [SLurl: Shiny Falls], which has some of the coolest vendors I have yet to come across. Each has a small thumbnail image of the hair on an avatar that makes a 360 turn so that you can see the hair all the way around. This hair is "Breathe" in color Full Moon and costs $L250. The fatpack is the All Colors option which, at 50% off, will cost you $L1625. Though there are only a few hairs yet available, they are very high quality. I bought one of each and simply love them.

The top, which this outfit was built around, comes from So Many Styles [SLurl: Indelible Odyssey]. Their store, and outside around it, is really neat - sort of grungy and casually run-down - and I had fun just snapping a few pics hanging out there. The top is the "Maria Tank" in Black, which sells for $L100. Other colors available are Orange, Purple, and Green.

Once again, I slipped into a pair of Dutch Touch [SLurl: Dutch Touch] jeans. These are the "Vintage Regular Fit", priced at $L150.

The shoes are the cute "Kelly Sandals" from Shiny Things [SLurl: Shiny Falls]. I am wearing them in Black, but you can also get them in Red, Tangerine, Yellow, Hot Pink, Green, Blue, Purple, Black, White, Powder Pink, Aqua, Lavender, Tan, Navy, Brown, and Olive. Whatever your flavor, they sell for $L200 each.
